We are now seeking an exceptional Senior Site Sustainability Manager to join our award winning team based on site within our Corporate Sustainability Group, Dubai.  

 

This critical role will be responsible for liaising with both the client and contractor during the ongoing integrative design process charrettes commencing from the design phase and throughout the construction phase, to align design and construction goals.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include but not limited to;

 

  • Demonstrating excellence in creating and supporting a collaborative work environment both on the construction site, in the home office and in client offices.
  • Developing excellent quality sustainability construction reports, credit templates, calculators, rating system support kits and sustainability code compliance documents as required by clients and the senior manager in charge.
  • Creating internal project management plans for projects that maps out project strategy for project budget, program, deliverables, team resourcing and technical strategy.
  • Able to conduct client facing meetings, contractor meetings, and conduct audits with Estidama, GSAS or LEED auditors and to facilitate the integrated design process at all phases.
  • Be familiar with international sustainability best practices and also GCC best practice; take responsibility for maintaining knowledge of changes in market and where needed, study/pass exams for new accreditations or accreditation requirements.
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs for both technical and commercial components: estimate hours for bids and produce FMs (with supervision from senior managers) for both known scopes such as GSAS, Estidama, LEED, CEEQUAL but also be able to take on new scope that may come into the market from time to time to create new bid documents and approaches.
  • Creating training materials and training up sustainability site engineers as well as providing occasional training to the CS team as well as contractors staff.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ career experience, partnered with a Bachelor of Science in applicable sustainability related field.

 

It is expected that preferred candidates are familiar with all GCC Sustainability/Energy related policies, mandates, codes and possess general knowledge of carbon management, COP, IPCC and other international sustainability topics.   

 

Preferential consideration will be provided to candidates whom possess a Master Degree qualification (MEng or MSc or ALM), are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) / Professional Engineer (PE) and possess LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and / or Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP) and / or GSAS Certified Green Professional (CGP) certification and / or a Project Management Professional (PMP).
