    We are now seeking an exceptional Technical Director to join our award winning team based within our Abu Dhabi Office.

    This critical role will be responsible for strategic leadership and key technical expertise, ensuring the highest quality of technical delivery within their specific discipline across the Architecture Design division. This will include in partnering with the Directors of Architecture Services, for business development, quality management and the management of key talent within specific discipline, across the various architecture design offices.

    Responsibilities

    Paramount to success within this varied role will include;

    • Working in partnership with the Team Leaders and Regional Director of A&E Services in the region on all matters relating to the performance of the Architecture staff and projects to ensure high professional and technical standards.
    • Collaborating with other departments, and the wider KEO to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
    • Proactively identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks, alerting the Team Leaders, Regional Director of A&E Services, and Managing Director Design of any situation likely to prevent a project from achieving financial, schedule or quality targets.
    • Working in partnership with the Team Leaders, allocate resources to ensure execution of projects with the best outcome in terms of Client satisfaction and Company returns.
    • Monitoring the technical and professional capabilities and competencies of staff and recommend the appropriate course of action to improve individual and group performance and capability.
    • Providing mentoring and coaching to technical discipline staff in partnership with the Team Leader of each team.
    • Implementing project specific QA/QC procedures, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 to achieve technical excellence in all Architecture deliverables.
    • Working in partnership with the Team Leaders, identify and implement staff training and development aligned with business needs and performance reviews.
    • Maintaining agreed levels of resource utilization for all staff in the Architecture Departments in the region.
    • Leading the marketing and business development activities in Architecture within KEO, including coordination of technical and financial inputs.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision the successful applicant will bring a minimum of 15 - 20 years post graduate experience in engineering, including design, business development with a minimum 5 years’ experience heading up a technical discipline within a consulting company.

    Bachelor and ideally Masters level qualifications in Architecture or a related discipline is required.

    Full (Corporate) Membership of an Internationally recognized professional Institution and AIA or RIBA. LEED, ESTIDAMA, or PMP certification would be an advantage.
