Our newest opportunity is for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join our award winning team in Al Ain, UAE.

 

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Implementing cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in the construction contracts.
  • Measuring and assessing client’s variations to the construction works and contractor’s claims for changes.
  • Evaluating contractor’s monthly interim payment applications.
  • Identifying areas of concern and assesses their potential impact upon the project budget.
  • Measuring site works from drawings and on site including AutoCad measurement techniques.
  • Assisting in the review of time extensions, delays and penalties.
  • Preparing progress valuations in respect of interim monthly and final payments to contractors.
  • Assessing, measuring, advising and recommending the cost impact of design changes.
  • Preparing Change/Variation Orders and reporting upon cost impacts of such orders on the construction budget.
  • Assisting in the reviews, assessments and reports upon contractor’s claims
  • Preparing project cost and cash flow reports.
     

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience of quantity surveying, preferably in the Gulf Region across building projects.

 

Partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, preferred candidates will also be working towards MRICS.
